This series of heavy duty controls are general purpose devices that are designed to be panel mounted and used to provide input signals to the user's process control electronics. They are normally used to allow the equipment operator to input speed, position, pressure, torque or additional command information. These single turn potentiometers are intended for industrial or outdoor use. Models are available with shaft detents and spring return functions. Either 1.00 inch (standard) or 1.46 inch (optional) diameter, stainless steel knobs are offered. All models are supplied with mounting hardware and will meet specifications for NEMA type 4 and 13 applications when properly installed in the appropriate user's control station. The potentiometers mount in a industry standard .875 inch diameter cutout in the user's panel. One or more rubber gaskets provide the seal between the panel and the adjustment knob. Panel thickness from 1/16 to 1/4 inch can be accommodated by varying the number of sealing gaskets. The adjustment knob also includes a shaft seal to inhibit leakage between the knob and the body of the potentiometer. All potentiometers are supplied with two adhesive backed dials. One dial is marked with a left zero position for unidirectional use, while the other dial is supplied with a center zero position for bidirectional operations. All external wiring is made to the three position terminal block located on the bottom of the housing. Low cost custom nameplates are available for this product.
