This series of motorized potentiometer assemblies are general purpose devices that are designed to be mounted in the user's control panel. They are normally used to allow the equipment operator to input speed, position, torque or other command information for a specific application, from multiple locations. The potentiometer output is adjusted with push buttons or relay contact closures. These single turn, motorized potentiometers are intended for industrial use. They feature a heavy duty, reversible, synchronous gear motor driving the potentiometer through a stainless steel slip clutch assembly. The units are engineered to provide a long service life, the clutch is adjustable and designed for continuous slip operation. No plastic parts are included in the drive train. Dynamic braking for maximum signal accuracy is offered on some rapid cycle time models. The units operate from 115 volts AC, either 50 or 60 Hz. A number of motor speeds are offered in order to produce a wide range of cycle times. The slip clutch will protect the potentiometer stops at the end of its travel. All of these single turn units are offered with end of travel limit switches, each limit switch has a single form "C" contact rated for 5 amps. Standard potentiometers are rated at 1 watt and 100,000 mechanical operations. Resistance values from 10 ohms to 10 million ohms are available. The circuit board is solder masked and conformal coated. All external wiring connections are made to clearly marked, plug-in, barrier type terminal blocks. The potentiometer assembly can be mounted in the user's control enclosure on standoffs or located in plastic mounting track. Applications: Used to allow the process command signal to be controlled from multiple locations by momentary push buttons or relay contact closures..
